Marievik is tomorrow a part of the inner city with housing and offices and quite unique location by the waterfront and with two metro stations within easy reach. The potential is already visible today in the surroundings where new housing at Liljeholmskajen and Liljeholmen Centrum has been established. In the next step, Marievik will have more homes and offices to develop the area so that accommodation, working and visiting to the area will have an exciting and good environment.

The city of Stockholm has shown a strong interest in tying Marievik with the inner city and a review of the detailed is ongoing. For example, the current detailed plan enables almost only industry, which does not match current use. The ambition is to design a new detailed plan that enables both office properties and housing.

There is an ongoing plan to allow the development of housing and offices. There will be a supplement of approximately 1000 homes and more efficient offices. Property owners AMF Fastigheter, Castellum, DeutscheBank, Aberdeen and JM are real estate owner in the area.

RED Management has together with Equator and in close cooperation with the property owners worked to develop the area. Initially, the focus was on RED Managements assignment for AMF Fastigheter to develop Marievik 15, closest to Södermalm. In parallel in an architectural assignment with the city of Stockholm, the Dutch Search was given the opportunity to develop its proposal further. The property was then sold to JM, which further processed the proposal. RED Management manages the plan work and to lead the work with Streets, Park and Quay for the property owners in the southern part of the plan area
